The winter season hasn’t finished yet for ski enthusiasts!
On Saturday, the 2nd April 2011 takes place the 16th Three Peaks Ski Marathon, in memoriam of Roland, Michael and Markus. The skiers will start in Val Fiscalina / Fischleintal at 8 a.m. Also this year the organizers are expecting many participants.

Carnival in a special way… Have you ever thought about going out for dancing dressed in a pyjama? Hochpustertal / Alta Pusteria invites everybody to participate on an event like this on Saturday, the 5th March 2011: the Pyjamaball in the “Herzl Alm” of the Hotel St. Veit in Sexten / Sesto is beginning at 9.30 pm.
The guests, dressed in the pyjama, have the possibility to dance and at the same time to show that pyjamas are not only suitable for sleeping…

From 15th to 16th January 2011 in Alta Pusteria an exciting cross-country skiing weekend awaits you!
The now traditional Pustertaler Ski-Marathon attracts professional athletes and cross country skiers from all over the world.
Surrounded by the unique mountain scenery of the Dolomites on Saturday, 15th January at 10.00 o clock takes place the skating race over 28 km with start in Dobbiaco. On the same day, the youngest athletes start in Sesto / Waldheim at 2.30 pm for the Puschtra Mini.
On Sunday, 16th January takes place the race over 42 km, for all the fans of classic cross-country skiing, from Dobbiaco to the beautiful Sesto.

For everyone who likes spend New Year’s Eve romantic, homely and relaxed, a holiday in the mountains is just the right. The winter season in Sesto also this year offers great events. So, on 16th of January 2011 Sesto will be arrival point of the cross country Race Pustertaler Ski-Marathon.
Also in program, from the 20th to the 22nd of January 2011 the international sledge dog race, and, also on 16th of January 2011 the craziest race on snow shovels called “Helm Juchiza”.
The largest giant slalom of the Alta Pusteria Valley is in program about the end of winter season. And, obviously, not to forget the lot of little but traditional events, like night excursions with torchlights, nightsledge on the Croda Rossa, skishows and torchlight descents for Kids.

Opening of the skilifts:
The pallid peaks of the Dolomites around Sesto – Sexten are the scenery of the 13th Suedtirol Three Peaks Alpine Run on 12th September 2010 at 10 o’clock. The track is about 17,5 km long with 1.350 m of difference in altitude.
It starts at the valley station of the Monte Elmo in Sesto and arrives to the “Talschluß – hut” at the end of the Fischleintal / Val Fiscalina passing through green larch woods. After that, the run goes up to the “Zsigmondy – hut” and the “Büllelejoch – hut” at 2.575 m and ends in front of the famous Three Peaks.
The event begins already on Saturday with the final stage of the “Goretex Transalpine Run” and the traditional “Mini Three Peaks run”. A special Expo-Area, where a lot of producers present their sport products and a barbecue party will frame this important event.

It seems to hear the Dolomites singing, during the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival from the 23rd to the 27th of June 2010. About 90 choirs with 3000 participants will present 60 concerts from spiritual repertoire to opera as well as folk and alpine songs. And with music it continues: with the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks from the 10th July to the 08th of August 2010.
